Gold Medal for Klas Yufka

Yufka in a container produced by the food industry company Klas d.d. Sarajevo has been awarded a Gold Medal for quality at the International Fair of Agriculture and Food Industry held in Gradačac, writes the Patria agency.

Behind the product quality assessment are esteemed professors from the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Sciences in Sarajevo, the oldest higher education institution in BiH.

- The yufka for preparing pies, strudels, and baklava by the manufacturer Klas d.d. Sarajevo meets all quality standards. We were particularly pleasantly surprised by the innovative packaging, i.e., the sturdy container that protects the yufka from breaking and drying out, thus ensuring its freshness as on the first day - said Prof. Dr. Nermina Spaho, Chairwoman of the Product Quality Assessment Commission.

Prof. Dr. Sanja Oručević Žuljević, a member of the quality assessment commission, stated that she is very happy when BiH companies make progress.

- It is no wonder that Klas yufka in a container is the holder of the Gold Medal of the Gradačac Fair. Klas has a tradition in the industrial production of yufka and continuous quality. The improvement of technology and innovative packaging in a container are additional benefits - said Prof. Dr. Sanja Oručević Žuljević.

Milan Bandić, Mayor of Zagreb, on the opening day of the Gradačac Fair, visited the AS Group stand with a delegation, where the company Klas exhibits its products, and enjoyed traditional syrup-soaked pastries prepared precisely from the yufka that was awarded the medal for quality.

- These are the most delicious baklava I have ever tasted. The tulumba is also excellent. Whenever I am in Bosnia, I gladly taste Bosnian specialties - said Milan Bandić.

Incidentally, yufka in a container is among the newer products of Klas. It was placed on the market in February this year, and it is the first BiH yufka packaged in a sturdy container. The new yufka recipe guarantees elastic sheets that will ensure every dish is successfully prepared.

The sheets are suitable for preparing all types of strudels as well as layered dishes. The thin foil, in addition to providing extra product protection, also has a practical purpose, as it serves as a good base for unrolling the sheets.
