Winter School Corporate Security and Protection: Participants also undergo practical training

Organised by the Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies Sarajevo and the Velika Gorica University of Applied Sciences from Croatia, the International Winter School „Corporate Security and Protection“ is being held on Bjelašnica from 13 to 18 February, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Forty participants, professionals and practitioners, as well as students from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Kosovo are staying on Bjelašnica, where they have the opportunity to share experiences and knowledge with other participants through practical classes, with the aim of mastering the corporate security and protection programme.

Professor Jasmin Ahić, head of the Winter School, told the Patria agency that in addition to lectures, students also have practical classes led by experts.

- This is the fourth time we have organised such an event, but it is the first Winter School. Participants will also receive a certificate from FKN and Velika Gorica University of Applied Sciences, worth 40 ECTS credits, which they can use for career advancement - said Ahić.

In addition to lecturers from FKN and Velika Gorica University of Applied Sciences, there are numerous partners such as the Federal Civil Protection Administration, the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, and DSC Agency for Protection of People and Property.

- We also have support from the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, which provides security for the event, so we have rounded out the entire structure - said Ahić, adding that such programmes will continue.
