(Patria) - Last night's statement by the "Trojka" parties (SDP, Our Party, NiP) is a classic attempt to justify themselves to voters and members who are leaving them daily due to their submissive attitude towards the HDZ BiH.
This was stated in an interview for the News Agency Patria (NAP) by the President of the Main Board of the Democratic Front (DF) and Member of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, Hajrudin Žilić.
- That statement is nothing more than a form of defense mechanism that characterizes behavior where one's own mistakes and negative aspects of work, or even idleness, are attempted to be attributed to someone else. Of course, in this case, it is at the expense of the opposition - says Žilić.
Among other things, the "Trojka" complained in their statement that "the FBiH Government, since its confirmation in the FBiH Parliament on April 28, 2023, has been the target of constant attacks by opposition parties and their officials". These are not, according to the "Trojka", constructive criticisms, but a "brutal and planned agenda of poisoning the public with lies and deceit about the supposedly imposed FBiH Government".
While throwing mud at the opposition parties, the "Trojka" members stated that it is "shameful and pathetic to watch and listen to officials of the SDA or their satellites DF and Party for BiH, who for more than two years have been consciously and openly lying and slandering in their attempts to impose the narrative of an imposed Government".
Žilić points out that he is not aware, in his political career, of such relations existing among opposition parties. That is, that there are some agreements, accords on joint action, or the adoption of unified stances within the opposition.
- That does not exist, and it is characteristic of parties in power. This is a classic substitution of theses, because SDP, NiP, and Our Party are satellites of the HDZ BiH, and there are numerous pieces of evidence for such a relationship, and I will mention only a few that the citizens of the Federation of BiH are well aware of.
The first blatant example is the election of Marin Vukoja to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Even some very prominent members of the "Trojka" parties pointed out to their representatives not to vote for such a disastrous decision, because he is a person who is practically politically active - he was a member of the HDZ.
Let's also recall the letter from the BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović to SDP representatives, and we also know that Damir Arnaut, our ambassador to Germany, sent the same message to Our Party representatives. However, what the HDZ demanded from these parties was stronger than what their prominent members told them, and this best illustrates that satellite relationship - emphasizes Žilić.
As another example, he cited the election of journalist Zoran Krešić to the Management Board of the public RTV service of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The same - a classic example of a satellite relationship, or fulfilling the wishes of the HDZ, claims our interlocutor.
- For those of us who sit in the FBiH Parliament, as well as for journalists who follow the sessions, it is very clear who is subservient to whom and who has, I would say, even a submissive, rather than a satellite, relationship with whom - adds Žilić.
He also touched upon the part of the statement in which the "Trojka" claims that the current FBiH Government is not imposed, and that with such statements, the opposition "consciously distorts facts and tries to hide the truth", and that the "Government is the result of the democratic will of the citizens and a legally formed parliamentary majority, as opposed to years of blockades and political blackmail that held the Federation hostage".
- Is there perhaps anyone in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for whom it is not clear and known that the current majority, i.e., the Government, was appointed by suspending the Constitution for one day by the High Representative, when the Vice-President of the FBiH, a Bosniak, was deprived of his previous constitutional obligation to give consent for the appointment of the Government?
Besides that suspension, why were they imposed? Well, it was also a classic political trade, because one vote was still missing, and the price for that vote was paid with one ministerial position, one leading director position in one of the federal institutions - answers Žilić, adding that it is well known to the citizens of the FBiH who that 50th vote was that enabled the election of the current FBiH Government.
Let everyone add up the votes of the SDP, NiP, and Our Party, continues our interlocutor, and in contrast, let them add up the votes of the SDA, DF, and Party for BiH - and from that, they will see who is actually the democratic choice of the citizens.
- Well, so that we don't add up votes now, I will tell you that the "Trojka" parties have 27 representatives in the Federal Parliament, and the opposition parties they are talking about have 42 representatives. And that best shows who is the democratic choice of the citizens - notes Žilić.
We also asked him what the current FBiH Government can boast about having done for the benefit of the citizens since taking power on April 28, 2023.
- I really cannot find a single bright example, except - if the implementation of that set of anti-corruption laws has started in the sense that the appointment of prosecutors to POSKOK has begun and that it will start working.
Everything that the current government has adopted, and which can be characterized as positive, such as the set of energy laws, has been supported by the opposition, and it would have been difficult to pass without our support - says Žilić.
Precisely that, he adds, supports the claim that it is a constructive opposition, considering that it supports everything that is good and positive for the citizens of the Federation of BiH.
- The FBiH Government behaves as if it is alienated from citizens, entrepreneurs, and all those who are interested in life and work in the Federation of BiH - emphasizes Žilić.
He briefly commented on the recent Decree of the FBiH Government, according to which pensioners will receive a one-time cash payment of 100 to 250 KM along with their August pensions.
Žilić calls that aid a handout.
- What else is it but a handout if you give a pensioner with the lowest income a one-time payment of 250 KM? A kilogram of cherries costs 25 KM, meaning you gave him 10 kilograms of cherries.
That one-time cash payment to pensioners means one trip to the grocery store. That's how much the FBiH Government cares about the most vulnerable category of the population in Bosnia and Herzegovina - concludes Žilić in an interview with NAP.
