ŽFBiH, Luka Ploče and Arcelor Mittal on continuing cooperation

Representatives of Željeznice FBiH, Arcelor Mittal and Luka Ploče held a meeting in Sarajevo yesterday regarding Arcelor Mittal's announcement that it will increase its production by 25% by 2016, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

On this occasion, the President of the Management Board of ŽFBiH, Nijaz Puzić, said that every ton of goods is welcome and that Željeznice FBiH will do their utmost to respond with all their capacities to Arcelor Mittal's demands for increased transport.

Representatives of Luka Ploče agreed with the other meeting participants that customs procedures at the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia must be maximally simplified for the fastest possible flow of goods.

Also, a joint approach towards HŽ Cargo was agreed upon with the aim of reducing the transport price for the 20 km of railway line from Čapljina to Ploče.
