Severe problems for drivers: Traffic stopped near Živinice due to a tree, rockfall on the Sarajevo-Pale highway

(Patria) - Drivers in our country are facing numerous problems today due to very bad weather conditions.

Due to heavy snowfall, traffic is difficult in most of Bosnia and Herzegovina. BIHAMK particularly warns about sections in higher mountainous areas.

Due to a fallen tree, traffic has been stopped in the town of Kotornica, on the Kladanj-Živinice highway.

On the Pale - Sarajevo highway, in the town of Lapišnica, a rock has fallen onto the roadway. Traffic on that section is moving slowly.

Due to snowfall, traffic for heavy goods vehicles has been stopped on sections of the highways Zvornik-Tuzla (Crni Vrh), Vlasenica-Sokolac (Han Pogled), Konjic-Bradina, Travnik-Donji Vakuf (Komar) and Sarajevo-Pale (Romanija). Passenger vehicles are moving with difficulty, with mandatory winter equipment and increased caution.

Over the mountain passes Karaula, Nišići, Makljen, Mlinište, Borova Glava and Čemerno, the use of chains is recommended for heavy goods vehicles.

On the Jablanica-Blidinje highway, traffic is allowed for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, while for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes traffic remains suspended.

Due to winter driving conditions in the Republic of Croatia, at the Izačić border crossing, there is a ban on traffic for heavy goods vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers.

There are long queues of passenger vehicles at the exit from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the border crossings Izačić, Hadžin Potok, Velika Kladuša, Bosanski Novi, Bosanska Dubica, Bosanska Kostajnica, Gradina, Bosanska Gradiška, Bosanski Brod, Orašje, Brčko and Svilaj.

At other border crossings, passenger vehicle traffic occasionally increases, but for now it is flowing with delays of up to 30 minutes.
