Heated debate between RS president and federal minister: Dodik called Isak a "smlata", the latter told him he's a "log"

(Patria) - The leader of RS and SNSD, Milorad Dodik, and the Federal Minister of Internal Affairs, Ramo Isak, are the actors of a political scandal that shook the BiH political scene today.

Isak's liberation of Gaza

The reason for this was Isak's address yesterday at a rally of support from the citizens of Zenica for the Palestinian people.

- Together, God willing, we will liberate our Gaza, but in a way that we convince all those who are silent to raise their voice and those who have the power to do what they need to do - Isak said, among other things.

Dodik mentioned his mother

This bothered Dodik, so today at a press conference in Banja Luka, he called Isak a "smlata who wants to cover up his actions with strong statements".

- Let him try to liberate. Let him liberate his mother. This is a difficult moment that exists in the conflict between Israel and Palestine, primarily Hamas. What they did on October 7th is a crime that drew the attention of the whole world - Dodik said.

As expected, Dodik justified "Israel's activity to defend itself", and thus the crimes committed by the Israeli army against innocent Palestinian people in Gaza, although he tried to soften his statement somewhat:

"The images of suffering children in Palestine are heartbreaking. I expect this to stop as soon as possible and for them to manage to find an agreement. Any kind of biased attitude is going too far and is not fair or correct".

Then he compared the situation in the Middle East to the one in our country.

- We too are pushed into something that cannot function. I believe that what is happening in BiH requires an adequate response.

The Americans decided long ago, I have said this publicly, to centralize BiH. That is what we are fighting against.

They claim that we do not understand this, it is not a matter of the letter of Dayton, but a process. We did not sign that process - Dodik added.

A log would be better

Isak's response was swift, telling Dodik that his family did not need any liberation.

- My family and I, unlike Milorad Dodik, who has involved his own children in crime, do not need any liberation.

Liberation, lawyers, indictment, and prison are probably words that have been tormenting the Dodik family for months.

I will not comment on Milorad Dodik's mother at all. That woman has enough difficulty due to the mere fact that she is Milorad Dodik's mother and that she gave birth to a man who will be remembered as a historical disgrace - Isak stated.

He emphasized that it would be much better for the citizens of the RS entity if Dodik was not in office.

- Every conference by Milorad Dodik makes me think. I am truly convinced that it would be better for the citizens of the RS entity if they appointed a log as president.

Even a log has better manners than the person who answers to the name Milorad Dodik - Isak said.
