Woman from Teslić forced into prostitution and earnings shared, beaten when she refused

Three individuals from the municipality of Teslić and the federal municipality of Tešanj have been arrested for forcing a woman into prostitution, reports the Patria News Agency.

D.M. and M.O. are suspected of forcing a woman from Teslić to provide sexual services to clients found by D.Đ. during January, the Doboj Public Security Center announced.

While forcing her into prostitution, D.M. and M.O. threatened the victim with abuse and separation from a family member. The three suspects shared the money collected from clients among themselves.

When the victim refused to provide sexual services, D.M. and M.O. attacked her in her family home, hitting her with their feet and hands, and then took her to the municipality of Tešanj and subjected her to various forms of torture and torment.

Due to the injuries sustained, she received medical attention at the Doboj hospital.

A vehicle belonging to D.Đ. was used to transport clients for sexual services. The three arrested individuals have been charged with the criminal offense of human trafficking for the purpose of prostitution. After their arrest, the three suspects were handed over to the jurisdiction of the District Prosecutor's Office of Doboj.
