Zenica settlement Dobriljeno: Members of FUCZ remove a mortar shell from World War II

In the Zenica settlement of Dobriljeno, an Italian-made mortar shell left over from World War II was found and removed. This unexploded ordnance (UXO), which was discovered during earthworks in the immediate vicinity of a residential house, was safely transferred to the UXO disposal site of the FUCZ, Patria reports.

The Operations Centre of the Federal Administration for Civil Protection (FUCZ) was notified last night of the discovery of an unexploded ordnance on private property. After contacting members of the Zenica Police Station, the UXO team Sarajevo A went to the field and in the early morning hours of 04.02.2017, removed the device, which was safely transported and stored.

The explosive device will be subsequently destroyed at a demolition range.
