Zenica firefighters have the greatest support from the local community

ZENICA, (Patria) - The Voluntary Firefighting Society Zenica hosted the 2nd regular Assembly of the Firefighting Association of ZDK. During the ceremonial part of the session, awards of the Firefighting Association of ZDK were presented. Zenica Mayor Fuad Kasumović received the Association's Plaque.

- Upon taking office as Mayor of the City of Zenica in 2016, Mr. Kasumović actively engaged in improving firefighting in the city of Zenica and beyond. In October 2017, he donated 6 firefighting vehicles that were not used by the Professional Firefighting Unit Zenica to professional and voluntary firefighting units that did not have a single vehicle or were very poorly equipped with firefighting vehicles. The Voluntary Firefighting Society Zenica has the greatest support from the local community of all other voluntary firefighting societies, both financially and in terms of equipment, thanks precisely to Mr. Fuad Kasumović, who recognized this activity as very important in our everyday life - states the explanation of the Decision on the award for the Mayor of Zenica, Fuad Kasumović.

- The award presented by firefighters, people who care for the property and lives of all citizens, represents an honor and an obligation for me. Zenica is a regional center, and our firefighters, members of the Professional Firefighting Unit and the Voluntary Firefighting Society Zenica, should be maximally trained and best equipped so that they can respond to their tasks at any moment. The City of Zenica and I, as mayor, will continue to support people engaged in this noble profession - said Fuad Kasumović, Mayor of Zenica.
