Members of the Association for Development and Support of Mountaineering and Sports Tourism VEDRO from Zenica, organized by izleti.ba, attempted to conquer the highest peak in Slovenia, Triglav, at an altitude of 2,864 meters last weekend, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.
A five-member team consisting of: Edin Hujdur, Muris Kovačević, Amna Šestić-Sarajlić, Sanjin Ganić and Amina Kulović did not succeed in this attempt as they were forced to give up due to bad weather conditions.
Sun, rain and thick fog alternated, and their decision was also influenced by the evacuation of a girl who was injured just before the final leg of the climb to the very top of Triglav.
The beautiful sights of the Slovenian beauty will remain etched in the memories of the Zenica residents, and it is not excluded that they will try to conquer this peak again.
The team reached Kredarica, a mountain hut at 2,515 meters, which is a great success given the conditions in which they were climbing.
