Bosnian-Herzegovinian publicist Aziz Tafro will present the book “Russian and Greek mercenaries in the war in BiH“ to the Zenica public on Tuesday, which talks about the role of Greek and Russian volunteers during the Serbian aggression against BiH from '92 to '95.
Tafro has been researching this area for several years and has come across documents testifying that Russian and Greek mercenaries were present in these areas as early as '91, and that in 1992 they actively participated in battles in eastern Bosnia where they supported the ethnic cleansing of Bosniaks and Croats from that part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He further states that the Third Russian Volunteer Detachment was formed in 1993 and existed until '94, when the Greek Volunteer Guard was formed, which also participated in the persecution and murder of the non-Serb population.
The promotion of Tafro's book in Zenica will be held in the building of the Zenica City Museum starting at 7:30 PM.
