Zenica marked November 25: It is sad that today is a working day in Republika Srpska

On this day in 1943, at the first session of ZAVNOBiH in Mrkonjić Grad, a decision was made on the restoration of BiH's statehood, and its historical borders, dating back to the time of medieval Bosnia, were confirmed.

Organized by the Association of Anti-fascists and Fighters of the National Liberation War of the City of Zenica, Statehood Day was marked by laying flowers at the Papirna Memorial and at the "Stone Sleeper".

- There are fundamental problems in the functioning of the state in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Unfortunately, 72 years later, the achievements of ZAVNOBiH are celebrated only in the Federation, while in the other part of BiH it is a regular working day. We hope that the time will come when November 25 will be celebrated throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina - said Milivoje Marinković, vice-president of SUBNOR of Zenica Municipality.

Flowers were laid at the Papirna and "Stone Sleeper" memorials by representatives of the city administration, numerous associations, and political parties.

Today is a non-working day in the Federation of BiH.
