Zenica on its feet: Money being raised for ill Edin Mujkanović

Edin Mujkanović was born in 1991 in Zenica, and four years ago he fell ill with the serious disease Morbus Crohn/Ulcerative Colitis. Due to the illness, he underwent two major surgeries; after the first, his large intestine was completely removed, and after the second, complications arose.

On the main city square, residents of Zenica are trying to raise the amount Edin urgently needs by selling pastries and jewelry. In addition to the sale, there are also musicians and a photographer taking pictures, with all proceeds going to Edin, reports a reporter from the Patria news agency.

Edin is currently in Turkey and needs a large sum of money quickly. Namely, by Monday, Edin needs 16,000 euros. Everyone from students to pensioners has joined the campaign, and donations are even arriving from Melbourne.
