Zenica: Today is the final farewell to five tragically deceased miners

The body of the fifth miner, Fejzo Isaković, was recovered from the Raspotočje mine last night around 11 PM. After identification, an autopsy was performed at the Cantonal Hospital Zenica, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

Today at 11 AM, a memorial service will be held at the Bosnian National Theatre Zenica for the five miners Hajrudin Brdarac, Mehemed Dizdarević, Mehmedalija Halilović, Fahir Halač, and Fejzo Isaković. 

A joint funeral prayer will be held on the Kamberovića polje plateau at 2 PM, after which the miners will be buried in the local cemeteries of Vrselje, Poratje, in Ponirak, and Prašnice. 

We remind you that after the severe mining accident on September 4th, 34 miners were trapped in the Raspotočje mine. The rescue operation lasted a full 19 hours, after which 29 miners were pulled out of the mine on September 5th, and five died. The operation to recover the bodies lasted all Saturday, and 4 bodies were recovered, while on Sunday, rescue teams worked on evacuating the body of Fejzo Isaković, which was the most difficult to reach. A major problem was the high concentration of methane and the material that was difficult to excavate. 

Today is a day of mourning in the FBiH.
