Mostar Women Organize March for March 8: Give Us Back Our Right to Vote!

MOSTAR, (Patria) - Mostar women are organizing a march for March 8, International Women's Day with the motto "GIVE US BACK OUR RIGHT TO VOTE!".

The gathering begins on Sunday, March 8, starting at 11 AM at Musala Square in Mostar, from where the march will proceed towards the Spanish Square, where a Proclamation by an informal group of women and organizations fighting against the invisibility of women in Bosnian society will be read, followed by an address by the women of Mostar.

The program continues with a trip to Blagaj by private cars, followed by a planned climb to the fortress of Duke Stjepan Kosača and the presentation of a positive historical female figure – Bosnian Queen Katarina Kosača.

"We invite all citizens to join the Sunday March so that we can once again show that we oppose discrimination against women, violence, and invisibility, demanding political, social, and cultural rights.
