
(Patria) - An earthquake hit Bosnia and Herzegovina in the morning hours, reports EMSC.
The epicenter of the earthquake was near Sarajevo.
According to the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute in Sarajevo, their instruments at the Seismology Center registered a weaker earthquake in the area of the main Bosnian capital at 8:04 AM.
The magnitude of the tremor at the hypocenter was 2.2 on the Richter scale, and the intensity at the epicenter was III degrees on the Mercalli scale.

Along with the ground shaking, a rumbling sound was heard, but there is no official information about its strength yet.
Numerous residents of Sarajevo reported ground tremors on the EMSC service.
