(Patria) – At least 20 people have lost their lives and more than 300 have been injured as a result of an earthquake that hit northeastern Pakistan.
The epicenter of the 5.8 magnitude earthquake was near the city of Mirpur in the Pakistani-administered part of Kashmir province. Infrastructure was significantly affected with car-sized cracks appearing on local roads.
Residents of Lahore and Islamabad panicked and fled their homes, and those in the hardest-hit areas left behind ruins.
