The Seismological Institute of Montenegro registered a minor earthquake at 14:07 with its epicenter 9 km east of Bileća (on the border of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina). The magnitude of this earthquake at the hypocenter (focus) was 4.4 on the Richter scale, corresponding to an epicentral intensity of V degrees on the Mercalli scale (MCS). The focus of this earthquake was located at a depth of 17 km, reports the Patria news agency.
Based on the numerical model of intensity change with distance in this region, the earthquake magnitude and hypocenter depth, this earthquake could not cause material damage in the epicentral area.
