SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Philippine province of Davao del Sur was hit by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake, and experts have announced that aftershocks are expected.
The earthquake was tectonic, at a depth of 15 kilometers, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
The Philippines is located on the geologically active Pacific Ring of Fire, and earthquakes are a common occurrence, especially in the southern part of the country.
