(Patria)- Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić met with Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau in Ottawa. The interlocutors assessed this meeting as very significant, given that this is the first time that officials of the two countries have met at the highest level. They discussed bilateral and friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Canada, with an emphasis on improving cooperation in the fields of energy, economy, and education. Special emphasis was placed on the potential gasification project, as well as the supply of liquefied natural gas in BiH. The interlocutors agreed that the Pension and Social Security Agreement should be finalized, as it is of great importance for the BiH diaspora.
Chairman Komšić thanked for the support that Canada has provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens so far, as well as for the support of Bosnia and Herzegovina's integration processes on its path to membership in Euro-Atlantic integrations. Komšić also thanked Prime Minister Trudeau for the humane reception of BiH citizens in Canada, of whom, according to estimates, there are about one hundred thousand.
