Željezno Polje: School starts in September, but in agreement with parents

There are just under two months left until the start of the new school year. Classes at the "Abdulvehab Ilhamija" Primary School in Željezno Polje will begin in September, as in all other schools in the municipality, confirmed the school principal Suvad Hadžić, writes the BH News Agency Patria. 

- The way we will organize classes will depend on the number of students, and primarily on the road communication between the school and the hamlets. If the road communication is unsafe, classes will be organized in agreement with the parents. The stance of the parents of each hamlet individually will also be the stance of the school, all with the aim of quality education, and above all, the safety of the children – states Hadžić.

Hadžić expressed the need to clarify the current situation due to various pieces of information.

- After Bajram (July 28), the school will organize parent-teacher meetings where, together with the parents, stances will be adopted that will ensure the normal schooling of our primary school students – said Hadžić.

Otherwise, Željezno Polje is one of the places where a landslide in mid-May buried a large number of houses and destroyed road infrastructure, and where it is still unknown how safe the return and life in this place are, writes Patria.
