Željeznice FBiH transports goods to Sweden

Željeznice FBiH have made another significant step in their business policy. Acting within the framework of the international railway union at the presentation of transport capabilities, ŽFBiH provided support to economic entities whose business activities involve the export of goods and products from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Namely, Željeznice FBiH organized the transport of finished concrete slabs from Lukavac to the destination station Gothenburg in Sweden, for the needs of the BiH company Mucic@company.

The first two train compositions, each with 15 wagons, were dispatched on September 9 and 13, 2017. Today, September 19, 2017, the dispatch of the third composition is planned, which would satisfy the planned dispatch for the user of the first lot of concrete slabs, approximately 2,000 tons.

Further realization of the transport will proceed according to the established dynamics, taking into account technical and organizational aspects and applying legal regulations for international goods transport.

In addition to ŽFBiH, 7 national railway companies and a shipping company for ferry transport are involved in the organization of this transport over a distance of 2,270 kilometers. The Swedish national railway company is new to the list of railway companies in Europe with which ŽFBiH is establishing business cooperation in transport organization. There are few countries, or licensed railway companies, with which ŽFBiH has not established contractual or executive cooperation in joint international freight transport.

With this, we want to send a message to all potential users that Željeznice FBiH possess the necessary transport and expert resources for the realization of demanding transport projects.

Željeznice FBiH, as a reliable partner to all interested domestic and international users, will continue to provide services, and as a regional leader in goods transport, will intensify activities to become even more actively involved in the European transport market.
