Railways of FBiH continue old practice: Selling more tickets than seats available, tourists stand during ride to Mostar

(Patria) - After passenger rail traffic in FBiH was re-established in February following the reconstruction of the track that collapsed after the October floods in Jablanica, this morning an ugly scene unfolded on the train to Mostar.

What is positive is that there is no lack of interest from both domestic and foreign tourists to visit this Herzegovinian city, but the management of the Railways of FBiH apparently decided to continue the old practice of selling more tickets than there are seats.

Such a scene was recorded this morning by a passenger who stated that a certain number of passengers had to stand all the way to Mostar even though they had duly purchased tickets.

The landscape through which the Sarajevo-Mostar train passes is considered one of the most beautiful in BiH and beyond, but even that beauty cannot compensate for standing during the ride.

The management of the Railways of FBiH was appointed during the mandate of the Government of Nermin Nikšić, and the director positions were divided among the SDP, Our Party and HDZ BiH.
