Željezničar wins the eternal derby: Zeba from the penalty spot takes all points from Koševo

In the 5th round of the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željezničar defeated their eternal rival, the team of Sarajevo, 1:0 at the Koševo stadium.

Senad Repuh surprised with the starting lineup. He left Bekić and Velkoski on the bench, while Kuzmanović and Ivetić got a chance from the first minute, with Ahmetović leading the attack. On the other side, Admir Adžem did not make many changes compared to the previous match, with the only changes being Kajkut and Zakarić.

Before the match, a minute of silence was held in support of the residents of Barcelona due to yesterday's terrorist attacks in the capital of Catalonia.

The match started shockingly. Referee Čuić awarded a penalty to the visitors already in the 3rd minute. Ivetić brought down Zakarić from behind and received a direct red card. Zeba was the reliable taker from the white spot.

The early goal caused nervousness among the players in burgundy jerseys. In the 10th minute, Kadušić made a rough tackle on Stanić and received a yellow card, although the challenge might have warranted a sending off.

The series of cautions continued in the 17th minute. Zakarić stopped Kuzmanović on the edge of the penalty area and received a yellow card. After a cross from Sarić, Stanić cleared the ball for a throw-in.

In the 20th minute, after a weak back pass from Mihojević, Pavlović reacted at the last moment. Two minutes later, a nice combination from the home side, but Stanojević's shot was stopped by Kjosevski.

Plenty of work for Čuić in the 29th minute as well. Čuić did not characterize the duel between Stevanović and Ahmetović as a penalty, and the home side protested vehemently, with Mihojević receiving a yellow card after the scramble.

In the 33rd minute, Ahmetović headed over the goal. On the opposite side, a good attempt by Zakarić from the edge of the penalty area was saved by Pavlović.

The number of players on the field was evened out in the 38th minute. Ramović received his second yellow card and had to go to the dressing room. However, after the sending off, the Blues created two good chances through Zaimović, but the score remained unchanged.

The first half ended with the visitors leading, and the impression was that the main actor of the first 45 minutes was referee Čuić.

The start of the second half belonged to the Blues players, but then in the 57th minute, a major mistake by Kjosevski. He came far out of his goal and then took down Nedim Hadžić, after which the referee signaled the harshest penalty. However, Kjosevski threw himself well and saved Rahmanović's shot.

In the very next attack, a great chance for the team from Grbavica, but Zakarić hit the post; Željo could have doubled their lead.

After the initial pressure from Željezničar, Sarajevo took the initiative. Perhaps their best chance of the match came in the 66th minute. Ahmetović shot, Kjosevski was not in goal, but one of the Blues players cleared the ball off the line.

Until the end of the match, there were no major excitements, although Sarajevo attacked much more, they failed to create a significant chance. Fatigue was also visible among the players on both sides.
