Željezničar terminates contract with Kosorić

FK Željezničar and defender Aleksandar Kosorić mutually agreed to terminate the contract today at the player's request.

Kosorić submitted a request for contract termination, and the club accommodated the player, who showed with which pride he wears the jersey of the most successful club as a player and captain, and the cooperation has been terminated.

Below is the statement from the former captain:

– Given the decision to terminate the contract with my beloved club, I want to address the public, fans, and club sympathizers. First, I want to thank all the players and coaches I played and worked with, members of the Management Board, Supervisory Board, members of the Assembly, and the army of fans who were always with me and the club. I thank you for the trust and support shown. For two and a half years, I proudly wore the jersey of FK Željezničar, I found a second home there, I found a second family there, I played 85 matches there, I became a senior national team player there!

Wearing Željo's jersey is a great honor and obligation, and that's how I treated it. This decision is difficult, but currently unavoidable, the hardest decision of my career so far. I made it after long deliberation and it is exclusively my personal decision. I wish my Željo much success and happiness; everyone who wears Željo's jersey should be proud of it because Željo is above all of us. I wish the fans to always be with the club as they have been. Željo is a part of our lives, it will always be a part of us, I will always remain with Željo. We are Željo's, Željo is ours – Kosorić stated.

Kosorić played 85 matches for Željezničar and scored three goals. He debuted in the Europa League match between Metalurg and Željezničar.
