Željezničar must play Maccabi in Haifa on September 9

(Patria) - The first leg match of the Europa League between Maccabi Haifa and FK Željezničar will be played on September 9 in Israel.

UEFA announced on Friday the decision that the postponed match will be played again in Israel, and FK Željezničar appealed the decision. UEFA did not accept the arguments of the club from Grbavica, and confirmed the decision that the match will be played in Haifa because all the necessary conditions exist for it.

We remind you that the match between the Israeli representative and the Blues from Grbavica was supposed to be played on Thursday, but it was postponed due to five positive COVID-19 tests recorded among the members of the FK Željezničar delegation.

The Željezničar team, as well as all members of the delegation who traveled from Israel, are still in self-isolation and expect to be tested as soon as possible, and start training and preparing for the match against Maccabi.
