We want to hear about Srebrenica first-hand: Students of the world's only nomadic school stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Students and teachers of the International School "Think Global School" have been staying in Sarajevo for several weeks, where they are learning about the recent conflicts that engulfed Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 1990s, as well as its deeper history, reports the Patria agency.

Around 40 students and their teachers study different topics each year, and to better understand them, they visit countries where they can best grasp the subject matter. Now it is Bosnia and Herzegovina's turn.

- This winter, Think Global School students are turning their focus to understanding the past, present and future of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Rather than reading from textbooks about Srebrenica and Mostar, we came to explore both locations first-hand – they told Patria from this school, which is the first fully nomadic school in the world.

Students and staff of this school go on an educational tour of the world each year, living and learning in at least three different countries. The 2015/16 school year began in the United Kingdom, where students stayed in Scotland and other parts of the United Kingdom. They also stayed in Sweden.

- In Bosnia and Herzegovina, we explored the recent conflict in the country, as well as its connection to ethnic conflicts around the world. Our students visited the Tunnel of Hope in Sarajevo, as well as the Museum of Genocide Victims in Srebrenica - says teacher Nick Martino.

The team from Think Global School, after Bosnia and Herzegovina, travels to Italy, where they will finish this school year.

One of the teachers at the first nomadic school is Adnan Mačković, originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mačković has been teaching English language and literature at various prestigious universities around the world for several years. Last year, he joined the traveling (nomadic) school Think Global School, reports Patria.
