Želimir Nešković confirmed: I will withdraw the Proposal of the Law on the Constitutional Court of BiH in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly

(Patria) - Delegate in the Serb Club in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Želimir Nešković (SDS) stated today that he will withdraw the Proposal of the Law on the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the agenda of the House of Peoples session today because it lacks support from the RS.

"The support of the SNSD for this law was questionable," said Nešković.

As he stated, he is withdrawing the proposal because he does not want to create obstacles on BiH's path to the European Union.

"I do not want to be a precondition for anyone, neither for those coming from the FBiH nor for the Bosniak Club for a blockade, nor to influence others who block the house or any institution. I am aware that many European laws, reform laws, and I myself want the accelerated entry of BiH into the EU, I will not create any problems, and I expect the same from others," said Nešković.

Nešković emphasized that he remains of the view that it is best for BiH to have no foreign judges in the Constitutional Court of BiH, but also that the influence of the international community should decrease year by year.

Before Nešković's address, the Bosniak Club confirmed that at a meeting with HDZ president Dragan Čović, it was agreed that HDZ delegates would not support the urgent procedure of the disputed law, even though their votes placed it on the agenda of the 14th session of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly on March 18.

Since then, the Bosniak Club has refused to attend the continuation of the session, only coming for urgent matters.

Čović today scheduled the continuation of the session for October 29.
