Green Berets: Let's not allow evil people to threaten our peace

(Patria) - The Green Berets Association issued a statement tonight regarding the current socio-political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Green Berets asked the citizens of our country to, in these turbulent times, "all together emphasize our commitment to coexistence and the preservation of our only Bosnia and Herzegovina".

"We who fought know what ordeals we went through and what the weight of war is, and as they say in the folk saying - whoever loves it, may it be in their house.

Obviously, there are those who think differently, all with the aim of their criminal actions remaining covered up.

We appeal to all veteran organizations throughout BiH to distance themselves from those who do not wish us all well, and to let all relevant factors in BiH do their job in preserving peace.

Let's support peace in BiH, which has cost us all dearly, and let's not allow evil people to threaten it for their personal interests.

Finally, let's show the whole world that we veterans want to stop all those, regardless of their ethnicity, and say - enough raising tensions, we want lasting peace", says the statement from the Green Berets, signed by the Association's president Muhamed Švrakić.
