ZDK: Support for employment of 12 members of the veteran population through refund of contributions in the amount of 8,820.00 KM

(Patria) - The Ministry for Veteran Affairs of Zenica-Doboj Canton has completed the signing of contracts with beneficiaries of the self-employment and employment program for members of the veteran population from this canton.

Previously, contracts were signed for the self-employment of 212 beneficiaries, of which 138 new companies were supported within the "First Business" variant, and finally, 12 contracts for the employment of members of this
population in companies in the ZDK area were signed.

"We supported 12 beneficiaries with 8,820.00 KM each, which will cover their contribution costs for one year. Employers who have hired a veteran or a member of the veteran population under this program will have their contribution costs refunded monthly after submitting proof of payment," said the Minister for Veteran Affairs Adnan Sirovica.

He states that 2.3 million KM has been allocated from the budget for the self-employment and employment program in 2025. The goal is to reduce the unemployment rate of the veteran population, and thus solve their existential issues and improve their socio-economic situation.
