Goodbye Bosnia and Herzegovina

March 1st comes and goes. Again, discussions about history, about the referendum, about war, about peace, and finally about parallel communities. All your efforts are in vain - that the deadline for the 'hajduk' community members expires on March 1st. But this is not a story about parallel communities, this is a story about 8,743 days later and what happened during that time, about the constant search for differences, about fences, painting, theft, and many other misdeeds that were committed to bring us to parallel communities.

At one point, both old and young took up arms to defend the 'homeland'. How and why, no one knows. Give rifles, give bullets, give flags, play songs, call the 'priests', attack, retreat, and so on.

After 200,000 dead and 2 million displaced, passions later subsided. Known and unknown leaders emerged, some from basements, some from the diaspora, but all well-fed and full of energy to tackle the challenges of peace in peacetime. Each of them established order in their zone of responsibility, chose associates in all areas, and started working.

Peace and progress brought more problems than the war did. The state is divided, adorned with national symbols, written in three languages, in two scripts, and with a series of instructions in foreign languages for representatives of the international community, so that they would not be deprived of gastronomic specialties and astronomical earnings.

Science was engaged to statistically measure the state: how many victims, how many criminals, how many disabled, how many demobilized soldiers, and so on. When the factual situation was determined, the 'dialogue on unification' began. Everyone willingly accepted the dialogue; after all, it is better to talk than to fight.

Serbs and Croats clearly expressed their desire to unite, albeit, some with Serbia, others with Croatia. However, the Croats found themselves in a stalemate, because the Bosniaks had treacherously deceived them earlier and united with them. While the Croats struggled with the Bosniaks, the Bosniaks ran around Ferhadija, happy that they had subjugated the Croats through deception.

Twenty billion convertible marks stolen later, when the Bosniaks had matured enough, they too created a vision of unification. The intellectual elite said - why should we Bosniaks unite with Croats and harm them, when we can unite with ourselves and harm ourselves? Thus, the 'dialogue on unification' of Bosniaks, Serbs, and Croats continued to this day.

I must point out that a lot has been done in this regard. At the time the dialogue began, Republika Srpska covered 49% of the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and now it covers only 49% of the territory – progress is evident.

The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is on the verge of abolishing cantons and creating a more practical territorial organization based on the principles of the dialogue on unification. As compensation for the psychological pain caused by the bad relationship, but also on the basis of newly discovered moral and just Bosniak identity, the Bosniaks will give the Croats 50% of the territory of the FBiH, and keep the other half for themselves.

People with bad intentions would say that this division is unfair, and that two million Bosniaks deserve more territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, not just the Federation, but they forget that, according to the logic of Bosniak unity, there are about 400,000 of them and that 25.5% of BiH's territory is more than enough for a comfortable life for the smallest ethnic group in BiH.

Unity has shown that there are far more 'false' than true Bosniaks, and as it happens, for every true one, there are four false ones. The time has come when wise people in politics have realized that the false ones should be moved to the category of 'Others', and focus on the needs of the true ones and work for their benefit.

It has only now become clear to me how much communist monolithic thinking has crippled us, and we all thought that Bosniaks were the most numerous ethnic group; then Serbs, and finally Croats. And then there were those Others, but they mostly hid among the Bosniaks, a few among the Serbs and Croats.

It is fortunate that these Others have been exposed; I dare not imagine what they would be capable of doing to this poor and suffering country. They would be capable of demanding that the 'dialogue' be stopped. I simply get goosebumps at the thought of what the country would look like without Republika Srpska, Herceg-Bosnia, and the Sarajevo Pashaluk - it would be a truly monstrous state.

It is not only fortunate, but incredibly fortunate that almost all state property has been privatized, so the Others do not have access to resources, because the true Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks would be persecuted, enslaved in their own country.

Finally, let me explain why parallel communities are the last 'real' problem of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The members of parallel communities want to be Bosniaks, but they want to do whatever they want outside the formal spiritual framework of Bosniaks. The message is clear: either join the prayer group or join the Others. When one thinks rationally, parallel communities are the real problem, not, as evil tongues from the ranks of the Others claim, the creation of Herceg-Bosnia in which 'true' Bosniaks participate.

Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks barely survived the onslaught of the 'Others' machinery who, imagine, took their identities, while all along secretly being Bosnians and Herzegovinians.
