Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) conducted searches of residential and auxiliary buildings and movable property at nine locations and deprived seven individuals of their liberty during the night hours of October 25, 2024, in the area of Bosanska Krupa and Bihać, acting on a warrant from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The individuals were deprived of liberty due to reasonable suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of "Terrorism" under Article 201, Paragraph (1), in conjunction with Paragraph (5), points a.) and b.), and in connection with Articles 30 and 31 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the searches, items that may serve as evidence in criminal proceedings were discovered and temporarily seized.
The aforementioned activities were carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton, the Federal Police Administration, and the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Out of the total of seven individuals deprived of liberty, today during the day (October 28, 2024), SIPA police officers will hand over six individuals, along with a report on the committed criminal offense, to the competent prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
