(Patria) - Due to heavy snowfall, traffic has been suspended for all vehicle categories on the following roads:
- Glamoč-Mlinište,
- Bosansko Grahovo-Drvar-Bosanski Petrovac,
- Drvar-Glamoč,
- Sanski Most-Ključ,
- Kupres-Novo Selo,
- Kotor Varoš-Teslić (Borja),
- Banja Luka-Kneževo and
- Bihać-Bosanski Petrovac-Ključ.
For vehicles over 10 tons, as well as for freight vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers, traffic is suspended over the Karaula pass on the Olovo-Kladanj road.
On the 9th of January highway, as well as on main and regional roads in Republika Srpska, the ban on traffic for freight vehicles has been extended.
Snow continues to impede traffic in most of Bosnia, while the road surface in Herzegovina is wet in places. We especially warn about sections over mountain passes, where there is packed snow on the road, and on these sections, the use of chains is mandatory for freight vehicles.
Strong winds, which cause snowdrifts, cause additional difficulties for drivers.
Due to the weight of the snow, trees are frequently falling onto the road on numerous sections.
We advise drivers not to travel unless absolutely necessary, and if they do travel, to do so with appropriate winter equipment.
Due to difficult winter conditions, traffic for freight vehicles has been suspended at the Izačić border crossing. There are no long delays for passenger vehicles at other border crossings.
On the occasion of the Catholic Christmas holiday, the transport of explosives is prohibited in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina until midnight tonight.
