Due to the Palić case, I will seek the dismissal of Zubac

Salko Sokolović, an SDA MP in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, stated for NAP that due to the Palić case, he will insist on the dismissal of Goran Zubac, Director of SIPA, because the Court of BiH confirmed that Rašid Palić was subjected to a dirty campaign orchestrated by the Director of SIPA. Although Sokolović also received a response from the Minister of Security, Fahrudin Radončić, stating that everything was done in accordance with the law, Sokolović says he will keep his promise at the first opportunity.

- I promised the Minister of Security that I would bring the verdict to Parliament and read it personally in front of him. Our Caucus has submitted an initiative for his dismissal, and at the next session, I will prepare a new parliamentary question and will highlight the very reasons for doubt that I presented, which implicated Palić – Sokolović says.

He further stated that by casting doubt on Palić's work, the functioning of SIPA was undermined because the investigations and criminal offenses uncovered by Palić were brought into question.

- So, someone deliberately and intentionally discredited him so that the BiH Prosecutor's Office would also say there was no reason to pursue the investigations he had initiated. I personally know that he had launched three major cases – Sokolović explained.

The SDA MP says that something must happen after such a verdict, but that Mr. Zubac should now be involved in this process.

- I will now insist on Zubac's dismissal as well – Sokolović added.

We remind that Rašid Palić, among other things, arrested Goran Zubac's relative, Milan Zubac, for drug dealing in Trebinje on April 18, 2008.

- I know about that case, and believe me, some other things have been stalled. You see these protests by people. They were caused by citizens' dissatisfaction, but someone clearly saw something else in it, but that is also a product of the fact that the Prosecutor's Office and the judiciary did not do their job – Sokolović added, accusing these institutions of working more on eliminating people who collected data in order to prevent certain processes.
