(Patria) - The Zvornik Civil Protection Service warns citizens to protect themselves, to move their property and domestic animals away from areas that were flooded in previous years due to rising water levels of the Drina River, or to protect them from damage in another suitable manner.
Members of the Civil Protection Service and the Professional Fire and Rescue Unit will be on the ground, and citizens can contact the Civil Protection Service 24 hours a day at 056/210-853.
Incidentally, in recent days, heavy rainfall occurred in western and southwestern Serbia and northeastern Montenegro, leading to the formation of a snow cover. With melting and rising temperatures, the snow melted, which further led to an increase in the water levels of rivers flowing through the mentioned regions, which are tributaries of the Drina.
Due to all this, an appeal was sent to citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina living in the Drina region.
