Due to lack of quorum, Commissioner Halilović remains unevaluated for now

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Independent Board for the Election and Review of the Police Commissioner did not consider the evaluation of the work of MUP KS Commissioner Mevludin Halilović for 2018 at today's session. As announced to journalists by board member Samir Čorbo, who came to follow the session, this agenda item will not be considered due to a lack of quorum. The session elected a new chairman, Miroslav Kružik, and five members attended the session.

Otherwise, the work evaluation can be satisfactory or unsatisfactory, and then the evaluation is sent to the commissioner, the MUP minister, and the KS Government. For the work evaluation proposal to be adopted, five members must support the decision. If the work evaluation is unsatisfactory, in that case, the dismissal of Commissioner Mevludin Halilović will be initiated and a new competition announced. Each board member is obliged to justify their evaluation of the police commissioner's work.

Halilović was acting police commissioner from November 2016 after the dismissal of Vahid Ćosić, and was officially appointed after the competition procedure in May 2017. Before being appointed police commissioner, Halilović was the head of the Uniformed Police Sector at the MUP of KS.
