First Episode of 'Readiness' Cancelled Due to Sudden Drop in Air Pollutant Concentrations

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Given the sudden drop in PM 10 particle concentrations in the air at all measuring stations, in accordance with the Plan of Intervention Measures in Cases of Excessive Air Pollution in the Canton of Sarajevo, upon the proposal of the Expert Body for Coordination and Supervision of the Plan of Intervention Measures in Cases of Excessive Air Pollution in the Canton of Sarajevo, the President of the Operational Staff, Minister of Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection Damir Filipović, has decided to cancel the First Episode of 'Readiness'.

According to the forecast of the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute, new precipitation with moderate wind is expected in the coming days, which will result in low values of air pollutants.

Only during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday is a renewed occurrence of temperature inversion expected, which will lead to a short-term increase in air pollutant concentrations.

In accordance with the Plan of Intervention Measures, the Expert Body will continue to continuously monitor the air quality status, about which the public will be informed in a timely manner.
