Due to seats, nationality is changed; they live in FBiH but register for elections in RS

Over the past month, the Central Election Commission of BiH has refused to certify the candidacies of those cantonal representatives who, during the delegation process for the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament, changed their nationality overnight, writes the news agency Patria.

From the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton, those who attempted this by declaring themselves as Serbs include Haris Pleho and Rasim Smajić (BOSS), Nermin Bjelak (BPS-Sefer Halilović), and Sabina Čudić (Our Party), who previously declared as a Bosniak and now from the „others“ category because there was a shortage of candidates in these clubs.

The same was attempted by Edhem Fejzić and Muamer Omanović (SBB), now declaring themselves as others and Croats.

However, it is not only nationality that is changed for a seat. This is also done with the place of residence.

Thus, for more than 10 years, especially politicians from the SDA, have been living in the Federation of BiH, while their places of residence are on the territory of Republika Srpska in order to be able to run in elections.

For example, the Vice President of Republika Srpska, Ramiz Salkić, lives in Tuzla but is registered at a pre-war address in Zvornik.

Sadik Ahmetović, a state deputy who was elected to the new convocation of the BiH Parliament as a candidate from the RS, is also in the „city of salt“ where he has an apartment, but his address is in Srebrenica.

There is also Adil Osmanović, who lives in Tešanj and is registered with a place of residence in Teslić.....

And all of this can be done based on existing legal solutions.
