Due to Pope Francis's arrival on Friday, will working hours be shortened in FBiH?

The proposal for a decision on shortening working hours in the Federation of BiH on Friday, June 5, 2015, will be included on the agenda of the FBiH Government session tomorrow.

According to the proposal of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, working hours in all state, public institutions and agencies, and administrative bodies in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be shortened and will last until 12:00 PM, on the occasion of the organization and preparations for the reception of the Vatican's Head, His Holiness Pope Francis, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

According to the relevant minister Milan Mandilović, the first visit of Pope Francis to Bosnia and Herzegovina is an event of the greatest political and spiritual significance for all citizens and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The shortening of working hours on Friday in the Federation of BiH is motivated by organizational and security reasons, but also with the aim of enabling adequate preparations for both believers and all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the reception of Pope Francis, who will visit Bosnia and Herzegovina on Saturday, June 6, 2015.
