40 Million KM for Cantons on Hold Due to Budimir's Trip to Korea!

The FBiH budget rebalance for 2014, adopted by the FBiH Parliament on July 31, allocated 40 million KM for credit transfers to cantons, but it is unknown when the money will be disbursed. Namely, the President of FBiH, Živko Budimir, has traveled to South Korea, and before leaving, he did not sign the decision on the adopted budget rebalance, thus blocking the funds, the BH News Agency Patria has learned.

This is not the first time Budimir has blocked the process of adopting certain laws, as was the case with the Law on Establishing a Fund for Assisting Flood Victims in FBiH. At the time, Budimir justified it by saying that the laws had not reached the Presidency of FBiH and that he would immediately sign them upon arrival, enabling their publication in the official gazette.

It is evident that this time the issue is not about the "journey of documents" but about Budimir's trip to South Korea, where he is participating in the World Summit on Peace, Security, and Human Development, organized by the Universal Peace Federation, as stated on the website of the President of FBiH.

While FBiH is facing the consequences of the May and August floods, for the reconstruction of which tens of millions of marks are needed, Budimir's trip seems to have been more important than the affected population, writes Patria.
