Completion of the 'Suvenirnica' Project: Prime Minister Pivić Hosts Students and Teachers from Zenica Schools

(Patria) - Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton Nezir Pivić and Minister of
Education, Science, Culture, and Sport Mirza Mušija hosted a gathering with
students from three Zenica elementary schools – Elementary School ‘Meša Selimović’, Elementary School ‘Vladimir Nazor’, and Elementary School ‘Musa Ćazim Ćatić’ – their teachers, and representatives of the ‘Preporod’ Gallery Zenica.

The gathering was organized on the occasion of the completion of the ‘Suvenirnica’ Gallery project, implemented in partnership with the Local Foundation Zenica. The president of the ‘Preporod’ Gallery Zenica, Amna Sofić, emphasized that the project’s goal is to raise young people’s awareness of the importance of cultural and historical heritage, and that 22 students, by creatively making souvenirs, spread a positive story about the beauties of the local community and the homeland as a whole.

Student Asja Mečkić said that they gained a valuable experience through the project, while her schoolmates Arnel Džinić and Omar Spahić presented the prime minister with a box of souvenirs made at ‘Suvenirnica’.

Minister Mušija highlighted the importance of preserving one’s own heritage and spreading positive stories about the homeland and the people who live in it, and thanked the students for participating in this project.

Prime Minister Pivić thanked them for the visit and the gifted souvenirs, emphasizing that the project is based on enthusiasm and the desire to contribute to society and the community.

– These young people recognized the importance of participating in social activities. Giving something to the community is the greatest treasure. I congratulate you for dedicating your time, stepping away from everyday challenges, mobile phones, technology, and all that is offered to you which is not best for you. That is why it is important to socialize, to help each other, and to be true friends. Today, the greatest value is to have true friends – said Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.
