Engineering works completed for the establishment of a container settlement at 'Lipa'

SARAJevo, (Patria) - In accordance with the Decision of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the Engineering Battalion of the Tactical Support Brigade of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina today completed engineering works for the establishment of a container settlement for the accommodation of migrants at the 'Lipa' camp near Bihać.

Works on the construction of an access road for the placement of the container settlement in the 'Lipa' camp in Bihać, works on culverts for wastewater and rainwater, and the engineering preparation of the plateau in front of the camp have been completed, all of which has been covered with aggregate and properly engineered.

The works lasted from February 3 to 9, 2021. In addition to personnel, the following engineering machinery was engaged: five tipper trucks, one roller, one grader, one excavator, and two towing vehicles.

Representatives of the local community expressed their gratitude for the assistance provided, and after the handover of the works, the unit will return to its home base in the Derventa deployment area tomorrow.
Members of the Armed Forces of BiH have once again shown that they are ready and trained to implement all decisions of the Presidency of BiH in the best possible way, fulfilling their legally prescribed mission.
