Interviews with candidates completed: Perica Stanić new SIPA director?

Interviews with candidates for SIPA director have been completed, and the Independent Board of the BiH Security Service will soon prepare a list of up to five most successful candidates to be forwarded to BiH Security Minister Dragan Mektić.

Perica Stanić, one of seven candidates for the position of SIPA director, did not wish to comment on stories that he is the first choice for SIPA director and that it would be irresponsible to address the public before the interview itself, reports a reporter for the Bosnian news agency Patria.

After completing the interview, Stanić said that if he is elected SIPA director, he will work in accordance with the law, which includes the fight against organized crime.

Incidentally, Stanić was in a very good mood while waiting for his turn for the interview, and currently serves as an advisor in the RS Ministry of Interior. He is originally from Prnjavor, the same town as BiH Security Minister Dragan Mektić.

As confirmed by multiple sources, Stanić will be first on the list of up to five candidates that the Independent Board of the BiH Security Service will forward to the Council of Ministers, i.e., to Dragan Mektić, who will then forward one candidate to the BiH Parliament for confirmation.
