507th Days of Ajvatovica concluded

The central ceremony of the cultural-religious event 507th Days of Ajvatovica concluded on Sunday after the noon prayer and supplication at the Ajvatovica plateau.

The largest prayer site for Muslims in Europe, located in the village of Prusac near Donji Vakuf, was visited by thousands of believers from Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries this year.

According to beliefs, Ajvaz dedo prayed to God for water at the foot of Mount Šuljaga, seven kilometers from the old town of Prusac, for 40 mornings, after which water began to flow. In memory of Ajvaz dedo, believers have been coming to this region for five centuries, where a large number of cultural and religious events are held for several days.

Among the biggest attractions is the cavalry, which travels to Prusac from Sarajevo, 130 kilometers away, as well as from other cities, writes NAP.
