SDA Presidency Session Concluded

(Patria) - The session of the Presidency of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) in Sarajevo, which began at 3 PM, has concluded. The topic was the current political situation in the country.

SDA President Bakir Izetbegović stated today after the Presidency session that the Mini-Schengen agreement should enable faster and easier movement of goods, people, and capital, and that it is not a new political association.

"This issue has become politicized. The Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina yesterday adopted an initiative to examine the positive and potential negative aspects of what the agreement offers. It is an agreement that should enable faster and easier movement of goods, people, and capital. It is not some new political association," Izetbegović emphasized, as reported by Avaz.

Regarding the negotiations between SDA and HDZ and the meeting with Dragan Čović two days ago, Izetbegović said that it is pointless to discuss amendments to the Election Law without implementing the election results from two years ago.

"The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has not been filled for a year. We cannot continue negotiations under duress. The Croatian side has its demands regarding so-called legitimate representatives, and we have our demands that will introduce mechanisms that will permanently prevent such behavior by any side in Bosnia and Herzegovina," Izetbegović stated.

This session comes after Aljoša Čampara submitted his irrevocable resignation from the position of SDA Presidency member, which caused strong public reactions but did not surprise the leadership. The Presidency is also discussing this.

Bakir Izetbegović, SDA president, said three days ago that the Main Board would accept Čampara's resignation, and as decided based on the number of votes at the Congress, Čampara will be replaced by Aida Obuća, the Prime Minister of BPK.
