Session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Concluded: No Excise Tax Increase Yet, Public RTV Systems Left to Fend for Themselves!

The session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina has concluded, and the deputies quickly went through the agenda after the initiative of Denis Bećirović to include the Information of the Council of Ministers on the illegal scheduling, organizing, and holding of an anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional referendum that breaks the Dayton Peace Agreement was not adopted.

Due to the lack of an entity majority from the Republika Srpska, this proposal was rejected. We remind you that because of this, the SDP Club left the session.

Also, due to the lack of an entity majority from the Republika Srpska, the Proposal for a Law on Amendments to the Law on the Public RTV System of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which provided for an extension of the deadline for contracts with telecom operators through which the RTV fee would be collected, was not adopted.

The proposal of the Finance and Budget Commission of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina was adopted to postpone again the set of laws that provide for an increase in excise taxes on oil, as they still have not received an opinion from the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Incidentally, the session of the Management Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina is scheduled for September 2.

The Proposal for a Law on Amendments and Supplements to the Law on Excise Taxes sets the following excise taxes for petroleum derivatives: diesel fuel and other gas oils 0.45 KM, kerosene 0.30 KM, unleaded motor gasoline 0.50 KM, motor gasoline 0.55 KM, heating oil 0.45 KM, and biofuel and bioliquid 0.45 KM.
