NSRS session concluded, opposition left the hall without any damage

The National Assembly of Republika Srpska concluded its 21st regular session tonight in the Small Hall because opposition representatives, who did not attend the session, were in the main hall where sessions are held. The parliamentary majority consisted of 52 representatives who adopted several laws, drafts, and proposals and strategies today.

Among other things, the resignation of the Chief Auditor of RS, Duško Šnjegota, at his personal request, and the Deputy Chief Auditor of RS, Darko Pejić, was accepted. They placed their mandates at the disposal of the authorities at the end of August, which was the reason for the conflict between the opposition and the authorities.

During the turbulent day, the police also intervened, preventing opposition representatives from entering the session. Many commented that the police had placed themselves under the control of the ruling regime.

Although the opposition representatives intended to spend the night in the hall, after the session ended, they also left the NSRS.

Branislav Borenović, president of the PDP, posted a photo of the hall where they stayed today on his Twitter profile and wrote:

- We have duly handed over the hall, everything has been inspected, and it has been established that there is no damage. The regime is ready for anything, especially to frame and falsely accuse. There will be no backing down - Borenović stated.

NDP leader Dragan Čavić said that the NSRS is the only parliament in Europe where police officers with long and short firearms are present.
