Distribution of electronic health cards in Sarajevo Canton halted

The Health Insurance Institute of Sarajevo Canton has suspended the delivery of electronic health cards after a technical error was noticed on the card. The colors on the coat of arms of Sarajevo Canton were not properly arranged.

- All insured persons who have already received electronic health cards will be provided with new ones free of charge, and they will be delivered to their home address – stated the Institute.

In the first batch, nearly 20,000 electronic health cards were delivered, which will be replaced. 

Electronic health cards were announced as a capital project. The idea is that citizens no longer need to validate their health booklets, but that their health insurance is visible at all times with the help of this card, writes Patria.
