Opinions sought from relevant authorities on the law on medically assisted reproduction treatment

At the 7th session of the Commission for the Achievement of Gender Equality of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA), the Draft Framework Law on the treatment of infertility through medically assisted reproduction was considered. After the discussion, it was concluded that it is necessary for the competent entity and cantonal ministries to provide their opinions on the Draft Framework Law within 30 days, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

The Addendum to the Initiative of women's organizations in BiH to establish a Day of Remembrance for the suffering of women in the war in BiH was not accepted. As stated in the Addendum to the Initiative, it was proposed that December 8th be designated as the Day of Remembrance for the suffering of women in the war in BiH, which would be marked within the global campaign "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence".

Information from the thematic session "Gender Equality and Political Participation in BiH", as well as Information from the joint thematic session "Discrimination of Mothers in the Federation of BiH – Presentation of the Special Report of the Institution of Ombudsmen for Human Rights of BiH" were acknowledged.
