Information requested on the safety of mineral waters and carbonated beverages in BiH

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH, at the proposal of the Chairperson, today tasked the Food Safety Agency of BiH with preparing and submitting information on the safety of mineral waters and carbonated beverages on the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina, following individual cases of poisoning in neighboring Republic of Croatia, where certain products were withdrawn from the market.

Previously, the Council of Ministers of BiH was verbally informed that the Food Safety Agency of BiH had requested intensified inspection supervision in this area from the competent inspection authorities.

Prime Minister of KS Nihad Uk announced yesterday that KUIP inspectors had visited the field in KS, shops, markets, all major shopping centers, and that there were no disputed beverages in Sarajevo Canton. Preventive inspections continue today.
